A Twist on New Years Resolutions

We're in the middle of the first week of the new year and I'm feeling inspired. The nonprofit organization that I work with Social 360 is getting busier by the week and I am very thrilled and excited to see what 2011 has in store.
Last night I spent some time reading through many of the lovely blogs that I follow. In most of them there was some mention of New Years Resolutions and it got me thinking about goals. Obviously with the start of the new year it provides a feeling of "starting over", a gift of a blank canvas if you will. Regardless of many skeptics out there I feel that this is a perfect platform to jump from with your newly realized goals. Many of my New Years Resolutions aren't really "new" in a sense that I just came up with them. Several of them have  merely been resurrected, having brushed off the dust from unuse and  placing them back into the forefront of my mind.

3 New Years Resolutions
  1. Working out and staying healthy.
  2. Spending more time creating, writing, and playing piano.
  3. Saving money for the future.
All of these things are good and normal resolutions, but I have decided this year to shift my perspective. Instead of starting with the resolutions and then looking forward to a unknown result, I have decided to change my viewpoint to focus first upon the results. Envisioning the results from making these three goals a priority in my life is a much more inspiring picture then just fixating on the list.
Here are my hopeful "results"  from the three listed New Years Resolutions:

New Years Resolution Results
  1. Feeling healthy, fit and more confident about my physical ability.
  2. Publish a story I started two years ago by pushing myself  to write daily. Conquer that Chopin piano piece I've been eyeing since college.
  3. Planning a trip back to Europe and feeling more at peace about my future.
There are still so many things I would like to accomplish this year, but I feel if I put my energy and focus on a few then the rest will fall into place. What about you? All of my friends have different goals that are important to them, from traveling more, to buying a house, making more time for their children, to not worrying so much, etc. If you had to choose your three most important goals for 2011, what would they be?

That is such a great idea. If I had to choose just three I would go with. Traveling, being happy with the little things each day and feeling great (which means: swimming more)
Kisses and hugs,darling

Ps: I am hosting a great home decor GIVEAWAY today, so please join in :)

Great idea! I would go with feeling healthy, read more, and travel as much as I can.
Out of curiosity (my family is made up of musicians), which Chopin piece?
