Behind the Camera

Last Wednesday I had the pleasure of working with a fabulous group of incredibly talented artists and models. For the past two months I have been planning a jewelry photoshoot for my first official Lookbook. It has been a blast researching various looks, finding the right models and getting all of the jewelry together.
Being a rookie in the photography arena I was a little anxious going into the shoot, but between the amazing photographer, Kate and the two models who also happen to be good friends good friends, everyone rocked the shoot and I could not be more happy with the results! The name of the photographer is Kate T. Parker. Her work is beautiful and the way she captures the light in her pictures is timeless and haunting. The look book will make it's debut in the next two weeks so stay tuned! In the mean time, here are a few behind the scene shots to tie you over.
 Cheers!

New Life Chapter + Molly Jane Designs

Greetings! I know that is has been forever and a day since my last post! So much life has taken place that I'm not sure where to start. To make a long story short, in the last 16 months I started my own company, planned a wedding, got married and bought a house. To say that this year has been a year of transition would be the biggest understatement ever.
My jewelry business has become an enormous part of my life and is now my full time  job. I will begin posting pictures of my life behind the jewelry design, doing giveaways and divulging secrets on upcoming collections!
Below are a few pictures that show what has been keeping my attention the last few months.

My life over the past year...

I started a jewelry company called Molly Jane Designs where I make a lot of...
                      And...

                                And...
                       And a few of these...

Then I...

                    Married this guy.
            And bought our first house!

The last year has been extremely busy, but amazing! I'm ready to dive back into the blogging world and see what I've missed over the last 16 months! I am so excited to return and revamp (literally) the whole feel and look of the blog! Stay tuned!

Out Sick

It's official, I have food poisoning and this thing is a beast. After enjoying a wonderful dinner with a girlfriend last night, I awoke at 2 A.M. this morning with a stomach bug waving it's nasty little finger in my face. I don't think I would wish this on my worst enemy. I'm looking forward to feeling normal again!

European Dreaming

I can't seem to get my mind off traveling to Europe. It's been years since I've been on a crazy, unpredictable adventure with friends. So today I decided to have a little European escape of my own, a.k.a. browsing through old pictures on my laptop and wishing I was there again.
Several years ago I went to Italy with two close girlfriends, Jill and Stephanie. Our travels started in a small town outside of Florence. We bounced around the country and eventually wound up in Venice. It was such an amazing time and I would give anything to go back. Below are a few pictures to help pass the time on this Wednesday afternoon.
Enjoy!

The Happy List: 4 Things

1. My growing collection of interior design, fashion and cocktail books. I'm doing a feature on Black & White {and a bit in between} in the near future.
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G decor inspiration!

2. This month's magazines I'm saving for my trip next week! Looking forward to flipping through these babies!

3.  Four new plate chargers I picked up at the local thrift store. I couldn't believe I got away with them for only $5. Score!

4. The long over due girl's night out, last week, with my cousins and my sweet friend, Cori.

Can't stop looking at...

Over the last two years my love for interior design has become border line obsessive. My Amazon Wishlist consists of so many design books it has become shameful. 30A Style is one that has quickly become a favorite. The various homes featured in this delectable book pose a triple threat for the mind's eye: creative, colorful and comfortable. Showcasing diverse communities and individual homes, this 192 page book is worth going back to again and again.
