T'was the Day before Thanksgiving...

It's official. The chaos of family, friends, turkey and pie tradtionally known as Thanksgiving has begun. Most of my relatives fly in today and tonight the festivities will begin. My family is large, loud and talkative. So the general tune at my grandmother's house during Thanksgiving is not the soothing voice of ole' Bing Crosby singing Christmas carols, but rather many conversations happening all at once. When this happens (and you all know what I'm talking about) it makes everyone feel the need to talk a little louder than the next person, hoping that they will be heard over the confusion in the room. Basically, it is a mad house and I absolutely love it. Nothing can replace the unique love you have for the time you spend with family during the holidays. My grandmother's house will be packed, but it will be nice to catch up with all of my family, and the food is not bad either...just kidding! The food is always amazing! So what are your holiday plans?
Do you have any Thanksgiving traditions with your family or friends?

My Thanksgiving Favorites

-Cutting up with siblings and cousins who live in NYC, Maine, North Carolina, Washington D.C., South Carolina, Chicago and pretty much anywhere else you can think of.

(and that's not even all the cousins!)

-Watching my grandmother ("Nanny")  soak in all the family fun and thanking God for every moment I have her in my life.

-Eating my uncle's delicious "one of a kind" Pumpkin Pie. Seriously folks, he should patent the recipe.

-Watching the Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. I love seeing all the floats!
