Holiday Parties, Birthday Shindigs and Sparkles, oh my!

I haven't had a chance to blog much over the last week and feel like I'm way behind on my posts. There is so much going on and it feels like December has literally flown by.  This is what my life has evolved around lately...

  • My sister's family moving into town over the weekend. Helping them settle into the house and watching my adorable 2 and half year old twins.
  • Several office holiday parties.
  • Close friend's birthday parties. Both were fabulous and memorable, complete with sequins, dancing, good friends and great music.
  • Last minute Christmas shopping. I tell myself every year that I'm going to start early, but it never seems to happen. Oh well, maybe next year. ;)
  • Planning the epic 90's Jam New Years Eve party. I am so excited!
  • Weddings. Who doesn't enjoy a fun wedding? Crab cakes anyone?
What has your December looked liked like this year? I hope your holiday season has been joyous and filled with wonderful memories!

What are your plans for New Years Eve?

For the last few years my friends and I have hosted a decade costume party for New Years Eve. We covered the 1970's the first year, the 1980's the next, last year we took a break and this year we are rounding the troops once more for the ultimate 90's New Years Eve bash.
I was born in the 1980's and will always be an 80's girl at heart, but I can't help but love all the cheesiness that is the 90's pop culture, the movies, TV shows, and above all the fantastic collection of epic dance music and of course, Michael Bolton's love ballads.
So with New Years Eve only a couple of weeks away the quest has begun for the perfect 90's costume. There are too many options to choose from.  I spent much of my pre-teen years watching Clarissa Explains it All, Clueless, My So Called Life, Saved by the Bell, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, just to name a few. So I'm thinking of choosing a costume along those lines. What are your thoughts? What do you think is the ultime 90's costume?

(I'm not even sure what this is. But it just made my day. I know what I'm from Santa for Christmas: Parachute pants.)
